Dr Polly Hodges
Gender: Female
I've worked as a doctor in Eastleigh for over 10 years and I love it here. I have found people who work hard, are honest and open to moving forward. I specialise in mental health and am a big believer that everyone is doing their best with what they have.
Our PCN Mental Health Team is built on the neurophysiology trauma model which explains that survival mechanisms from early years have affected our brain and emotional wiring. We now know that medication only plays a small part in supporting mental health and we aim to meet people where they are at, work out what people want to look at and provide a therapeutic listening space to unpack and then look at skills to help rewire the brain.
When I'm not at work you'll find me in the great outdoors with my kids, swimming in the sea or drinking good coffee.
